Zach is our Managing partner as well as the Head of Business Development. Graduating from Virginia Tech with a degree in business management and marketing, Zach has spent much of his professional career helming the Seventh Sin Tattoo Company located in Charlotte, North Carolina. As a founding member of App Air, Zach helps to keep our feet off the ground, and our heads focused forward on what’s next. With Willie piloting the skies, Hannah making us look our best, and Zach piloting the front office, the future is wide open, bright, and blue for the App Air Team.

Willie is a founding member as well as our primary Instructor at Appalachian Air Sports. Growing up with hang glider pilots as parents, free flight has always been an important part of Willie's life. Willie started teaching hang gliding in 2014 and hasn't looked back since. With over 7 years of teaching and piloting experience, he is now an USHPA certified Advanced Instructor and Tandem Pilot. Willie's mission is to spread the "stoke" and expand the sport of hang gliding by helping to create and mentor new pilots into the wonderful world of free flight. With thorough instruction and constant dedication the App Air Team hopes to show the world just how much fun you can have flying an oversized kite.

Hannah is at the helm of all things creative as well as Willie’s partner in life. With a degree in Converged Media from the school of Media, Arts, and Design at James Madison University, Hannah has a much needed eye for detail. From creating “App Air-el” merch that you actually want to wear, social media creation, website development, and more, Hannah’s creative signature is the first thing you see when you’re introduced to Appalachian Air Sports. Together as a team, we hope to elevate Appalachian Air Sports to new heights and provide a memorable hang gliding experience to last you a lifetime.
